Can't catch any fish
Sometimes I play 2 or more hours(real time) , but catch nothing! I doubt is a network or server problem. Should I use vpn?

I can confirm there has to be a bug.
Was fishing 5 days in Alaska and caught fishes as it should be, Uni's Tropies, all i desired.
After day 6 it seemed like all ifish was gone, same weather, same lure, same retrieving technique, but on day 6 only 2 fishes, after that day, nothing.
What i tried until now:
-Verified game integrity through Steam, no error found.
-Restarted game again, no fish.
-Reset graphics card to standard clock, even no graphical issues, no fish.
-Restarted Computer, still no fish.
-Went home and back to Alaska, no fish.

I know the time, lure and spot since worked for 5 ingame days so it has to be a bug for sure.
So in total around 2 hours real life time without a fish.
I tried almost everything possible except reinstalling the game, but sill same issue.

I will still try or maybe go to Cali or somewhere to try and then back to Alaska. Maybe that helps.

Just crossed my mind, i set Alaske to my home lake, could that cause the issue ?

Not so much the same thing but just ran into a bug that might be related. In Alaska was still catching fish but everything was normals only. No trophy or unis spawning at all during peak times.

I want to know why Bass Jigs are so ineffective :(
if your in missouri use a 2/0 size or less. unless you want a trophy then go 3/0

I'm not sure what happened here in Cali for me. I usually hang there most of the time. After the update I could not catch anything on crankbaits. Barometer low or high made no difference, nor did time of day via looking at the graph ingame.
Tried some spoons, a few catches.

Came here and read what FlaGuitars and Teknaton said to do, and did both.
Got out of game, verified the game cache and also went to home then returned to Cali.

Still not catching much on cranks, and I do understand them as far as depth now. Nothing below 12 feet in Cali.

However the new spoons ( based on the micro spoons) that are for Salmon, got me 3 trophy steelheads, and some salmon, but very few stripers. But least am catching something.

thanks FlaGuitars and Tecknaton, but which one helped (verify cache or leaving Cali and coming back) not sure. :)

I can confirm the issues in Alaska. could be ping related, 150ms ping, not too bad, but saw spikes upward of 300. I'd see fish follow my lure, then stop short of hitting it and the line 2 feet above the lure would bend and no fish. With bait, fish would jump near my float but never hooked up. I caught 4 fish in 3 fishing days. Not good.

Crankbaits now either run too shallow or too deep, There's no middle ground. They shoudl bounce off the bottom technically but in this game things on the bottom don't seem to cause fish spawn. A 3 foot crank will almost skim the surface. A 6 foot crank will drag the bottom.

Well for me it's definitely not Ping related, my usual Ping is between 85 and 87. Rarely it goes above. Well new day new start, i am going to give another try at Alaska.

im back in Texas now after running out of money. I tried every spot I know of from when I was griding my way to lvl19 that im at now. I am following updated youtube vids incase everything got moved while i was on my 4 month break..... nothing no fish anywhere, the only place I catch anything is in the Texas lake. Ive tried Alaska, Missuori and New York. Tried every lure I own and its driving me crazy. Game is not fun anymore.

Well i don't know if it's of any help but since i installed latest graphics driver i catch fisha gain. Not sure now if it was a coincidence or really a Nvidia driver issue.
But people who don't catch anything might give it a try.

River in Alaska use single spoon lures 1oz speed 2, (i find this the better fishing method) or surface lure will do the same. (over 1 oz, too heavy will stay and drag on bottom) Sometime it is good to hit the bottom but bounce it off it, also use wire leader as rocks are sharp and wear line out with out one)
Also watch were others are fishing and catching fish, then try those spots yourself, this relates to all maps.

Me and a friend can't catch anything at Emerald Lake. It's super strange. 4-5 rods and I caught 4 lbs of fish in 3 game hours.

Try bloodworms and small hook and I bet you'll catch some sunfish, shiners and even crappy standing on that dock... So no need to complaint here, any fish is a fish and you are fishing 😉

When casting bottom gear, drag sinker until you find a weedy patch and mark and fish it.
