Tournaments

Is there anything that explains what u do after u choose to enter the tournament. Is there a second half of the tournament if so how do i advance to the second half at the bass challange i came in third on, iguess it was the first half and i was not advanced to the second half.

you are talking about a competition not tournament. There is no 2nd half, you have a set scoring time, thats it. Its all in competition description.

Just check you, you've done 12 competitions so far and so firstly congrats on coming 3rd already in one as that is very good. Secondly as Draconam pointed out there is no 2nd half to any of the competitions. All info is on the information page of the competition. You fished the entire 45 minute competition and came 3rd, nice one as it isn't the easiest of comps to do well in at the best of times that bass one at florida.

There's an odd equivocation between the two words "tournament" and "competion" and a fishing competition is still a tournament and is considered so in the US. However in the game the terms are explicitly being used differently. Comps are the daily events with a set time period and the end score is what you get. Tourneys are bracketed events and progress to further rounds. Those have only happened a couple times and paid out actual money. Comps pay out game money and gold (and PSR or Personal Skill Rating).

When you click the trophy icon (beta labeled) you see three lower icons: Current event, calander and tounament bracket. The 3rd is only used for FP sponsored events (currently). The 1st and 2nd are daily events and as has been stated already, are single time period events.

Thanks everyone, I understand now. Their is one thing I would lik to ask, who won the biggest fish contest and how big was that fish.

The biggest fish or "criteria 2" as they also call it, is only used to seperate two players who is on the same score. So catching the biggest fish doesnt give you anything special in competitions.
