Totally agree with the night fishing !! Just the Flathead catfish alone 90% of the time are at night because that's when they feed...10pm to 7am is when I catch mine

Night fishing used to be in the game but only for a Halloween event. It went well. We don't know when it will be implemented back in to the game.

Question: Do we have any real topwater lures, such as buzzbaits, floating stickbaits, etc?
Second question: Do we have true bottom fishing with sinkers and line rigs?
That is why there is no night fishing yet. Night fishing is literally for feeding fish that require active and noisy lures, and of course catfish (for example) require some serious smelling baits so they can detect it. Will fish take a crank at night? Sure. But you can believe it's not too often, and certainly not a reaction strike.
Basically, I would hope to see night fishing when it's actual mechanics are in play, NOT the way it is right now in the game.

agree !! butt also carp bites in night..also pike...fish can be very affected by the night...butt with the right fishing rods and stuff you can always catch fish where you are (-:

Read again what I said. You are fishing for FEEDING fish, which does include carp and pike. And honestly, you can have all the right stuff, all the latest gear, all the bells and whistles. If the fish are not actively feeding at that time of night, you will not catch anything. As said, there are some species that are great for night fishing, such as catfish, walleye, carp, Northern Pike, etc. Others not so much, such as trout species, panfish, etc. That's not saying they DO NOT bite at night, but they are not as active at all. With the current lures we have now and the ways we are limited to fish, it just wouldn't make any sense right now. Get proper topwaters and bottom fishing, and then we are talkin ;-)

Night fishing is on the list of things to do. I bet it will not come until some time after they introduce bottom fishing. First it looks like they will get all of the multiplayer stuff in and the 3D models and boats.

Plenty of night fishing, no night catching. Unless the Devs decide to make fish bite after 9 PM, like they did for the Halloween event.

There's a lot more fish that can be caught during the night. I for one fish for sea trout and salmon late evening/night in Scotland :)

No there isn't any night fishing. Currently fishing on this game is between 5am and 9pm. There are the odd occasions when fish can be caught outside those times.
