Trout Hunter Competition - How is this possible?
Hi all,
I just played the Trout Hunter Competition. So, I started the game just as soon as it was available (eg, 12 pm for me). However, as soon as the leader-board popped open, there were already 5 entries, and they all were with 0.005 of the target 2.20462 lbs (or 1 kg). In summary, I can't see how they all did this before I even had a chance to cast for the fist time. And, I don't see how they could catch the fish in advance before entering the tournament. So, anybody know how this is done? It sorta makes this tournament a waste of time for someone like me.
Thanks

lol I just finished this as well.

Those at the top know what they're doing I guess.

But it's a slot machine for sure.
I've done this comp about 5 times maybe, and once I got 2nd other times 40th or lower.

More like combination of click bait and magic dust they throw in the water lol

I can see it. First cast for 5 people, 2,2 doesn't take but a few seconds to reel in. I do this comp quite a bit, it's a slot machine.

more likely if it smells fishy it more than fair chance it is and they don't do anything about it so you just write of the bs of how sad it is people cheat in a fishing game

Hi all,

Thank you for your responses. However, we are only talking about 15-20 seconds from the time the comp was first available, to the time I clicked start and saw the leader-board pop up. Now, IMHO, they all had to do the same thing so there was no extra time to cast and reel in a fish, and with all of them being so close to the target weight, this made me believe there was some kind of loop-hole that was being exploited Anyway, no biggie. I just thought I would mention it to see if anyone was aware of this anomaly.

Thanks

question, i always wonder why people do like these competitions , instead of just fishing for fun? btw i did win one comp rl, and hated doing it, once and never again, its crazy, has nothing to do about real fishing anymore. greed pure greed it is.

I find competitions to be a lot of fun, and they don't stop me from having fun with regular fishing. Not sure where the 'greed' comes in, but..
For me, I like fishing for fun but the comps are just another thing to do, like the Missions and Challenges.

I don't expect to ever win, but I always think there could be that one chance.

The Partaker achievement (Participating in 100 Competitions) is also an in-game Challenge and a Steam Achievement, so I am working on that.

This is really making me not want to enter comp or tournament, like ever.
