Carolina rigs vs Texas rigs

Hi all , have a couple of questions RE the above rigs:

1. I noticed that using a Carolina rig instead of a jighead significantly reduces the crazy bouncing when you have a big fish on the line. Is the same true for Texas rigs ? Do Texas rigs also help with the bouncing ?

2. Is Texas rigs used in the same way as Carolina rigs with offset hook and bullet sinker , or is there a difference ?

I don't know about any bouncing, but yes, the Carolina uses a bullet sinker as well. But he Three-Way Rigs use a drop sinker.
