so if i give it enough thought i could actually progress reasonably. im not looking for top tier but id like to at least make it near end game.
There is no END GAME
endgame as in the highest level venues
you dont need baitcoin for that.
as a matter of fact, its pretty unwise to spend baitcoin for any kind of permanent map, since the travel costs are pretty much irrelevant at the highest level, you can have millions of dollars without much trouble.
in any given situation it would be wiser to use those baitcoins for gear or boats (though the rods for ingamecash are enough anyways, just a decent boat is nice i guess)
it makes no sense effortwise anyway. farming the money for every trip you ever will take will probably take...idk, 100hrs? then ur set forever(just travel, not repairing or gear) but you do that easily on the side while just playing the game. no effort wasted on this.
farming the thousands of baitcoins to unlock unlimited licenses takes...thousands of hours. you get them only from special fish on st patricks day once a year or by winning tournaments and competitions. this is not "easily done while playing the game"
bear in mind, with those thousands of baitcoins wasted on maps you also can buy at least a full set of rods (the baitcoin ones are like 1kg stronger) and boats.
also:baitcoin stuff as a grand total is "nice to have" but in no way a recommendation or a must, except you wanna have the edge in fishing tournaments, tho you probably need actual gameplay experience (hundreds to thousands of hours) before special baits and rods become relevant.
and tbh, it was always like that, if you left the game a year ago because "you didnt have the baitcoin for endcontent" then you sadly got wrong informations or misunderstood the game
You don't need to get all of them, just pick and choose which maps you enjoy fishing.
This should solve most of your money (credits) issues.
You can then use the earned credits to fish other areas on a day to day basis.
