Keep in mind read what the rod weight range is, same with reel and line. ( must all be near allocated weight range) Reel within drag range as well
Bottom rod must have a leader
Can use feeder sinker etc. with burley, like catfish destroyer and other types ingredients.
Feeder rods can use Texas rigs or the other two types. need a sinker (drop or slide) off hook and a lure eg. shad.
I don't use them (Texas rigs etc.) so someone else can explain those method better.
Rod: CreekPro 9' 10" - The best I can use at my level
Reel: CrucianHunter 3000 or InspireCast 2000 - Tested both. Worked previous with Inspire
Line: Mono .007" or Braid .005" - Tested both with same result
Led: Sinker ½oz
Hook: Hook #4
Bait: Tested all but used Bread with Honey most of the time
Alarm: Simple Bell
All equipped and the rodnumber is red and it says that Rod in slot x has no tackle. Tested as Rod number one and two. Also tested with leaving Rodbag at home and only gone out with the feeder Rod (fully equipped) Also repaired all incase it had to do with that. Only thing left to test is to buy a new feeder rod.
Got another interesting thing happening to while fishing at the bottom. Got a bite and when I grabbed the rod it was a big one on, have caught alot of fish on that place but for this one the drag was way too high, The line tension went red as soon as the rod left the stand and line snapped before I even had a chance to lower the drag. After this I couldn't even reel in the line. Cast out worked but not reel in, same result after doing a full repair on it.
Does this mean that I just have to scrap the reel? It's an SE so it feels a bit sad if it's so.
In your rod diagram there is a loop of line just below the hook/lure. You drag the leader from your backpack inventory to the empty loop spot to equip it. Take spare leaders in your backpack in case one wears/snaps or is bitten thru.
Rigs are for lure fishing as you said but not with a feeder rod.
I use a Texas rig, bullet sinker, offset hook, and a shad for Nile Perch. Rigs are used like jigs except that they allow you to choose what weight and hook combination you want to use.
