The rod in slot 1 has no tackle
Hi
Got a problem after I bought myself a new reel to my feeder rod. Got everything equipped as I had with my old setup but now it say that I have no tackle on that rod.
Saw an old post from 2016 where they suggested remove everything and redo. Tried that and also tried to go back to my old reel but with the same result. I'm able to fish with my float gear and also with the spinning gear but cant fish on the bottom anymore, really annoying since that was the part I enjoyed most this far. Any suggestions?

Rod, reel, line, leader, hook, bait.
Keep in mind read what the rod weight range is, same with reel and line. ( must all be near allocated weight range) Reel within drag range as well
Bottom rod must have a leader
Can use feeder sinker etc. with burley, like catfish destroyer and other types ingredients.

Feeder rods can use Texas rigs or the other two types. need a sinker (drop or slide) off hook and a lure eg. shad.
I don't use them (Texas rigs etc.) so someone else can explain those method better.

I would suspect you don't have a leader equipped. Float and spinning reels don't require a leader.

Also make sure you have sinker or feeder attached and don't forget the bait

Yes, I'm afraid that I have some other problem. I have fished a bit and it was when changing Reel my problems came and they stayed even when changing back to my old reel. My setup that won't work for me is the following.

Rod: CreekPro 9' 10" - The best I can use at my level
Reel: CrucianHunter 3000 or InspireCast 2000 - Tested both. Worked previous with Inspire
Line: Mono .007" or Braid .005" - Tested both with same result
Led: Sinker ½oz
Hook: Hook #4
Bait: Tested all but used Bread with Honey most of the time
Alarm: Simple Bell

All equipped and the rodnumber is red and it says that Rod in slot x has no tackle. Tested as Rod number one and two. Also tested with leaving Rodbag at home and only gone out with the feeder Rod (fully equipped) Also repaired all incase it had to do with that. Only thing left to test is to buy a new feeder rod.

Ok, this was wierd. I used a leader this time, and now it worked. Haven't had any on before.

feeder and bottom setups have always required a leader. spinning, casting and float setups do not.

Hmm, Pretty sure I didn'tt attatch a leader but wont argue too much :-)
Got another interesting thing happening to while fishing at the bottom. Got a bite and when I grabbed the rod it was a big one on, have caught alot of fish on that place but for this one the drag was way too high, The line tension went red as soon as the rod left the stand and line snapped before I even had a chance to lower the drag. After this I couldn't even reel in the line. Cast out worked but not reel in, same result after doing a full repair on it.
Does this mean that I just have to scrap the reel? It's an SE so it feels a bit sad if it's so.

Make sure it's not in revers mode and drag is present (increase your drag) also your reel is stronger than your line make sure the reel you using is below max settings for your rod and line is higher then your reel

In the shop under Lines - Leaders. If it doesn't show up in the shop then you are at a lake somewhere and pondside shops have limited tackle at +50% prices. So you would have to Leave the lake and go back home and use the Global Shop which has everything. Leaving the lake will cost you travel costs to go back, unless it's Lone Star which is free. This is why you make sure you have everything you might need before setting off anywhere, and practice messing about with this sort of thing at Lone Star, since you don't lose any money in travel costs.

In your rod diagram there is a loop of line just below the hook/lure. You drag the leader from your backpack inventory to the empty loop spot to equip it. Take spare leaders in your backpack in case one wears/snaps or is bitten thru.

Rigs are for lure fishing as you said but not with a feeder rod.
I use a Texas rig, bullet sinker, offset hook, and a shad for Nile Perch. Rigs are used like jigs except that they allow you to choose what weight and hook combination you want to use.
