Oregon Falcon Lake, am i just unlucky>?
Went to Falcon Lake, into Trout Lair, aimed at the usual shiny rock and casted with a 21g narrow 3/0 spoon (red and white glow), perform slow striaght speed 1 or speed 1 twitching at 40-45 meter out waiting for the lure to sink 3/4th to the bottom before using the retrieve, get rainbow trouts 1kg-2.3kg 9/10 line casted

Next day, do the exact same thing.... got aboslutely nothing at peak hours

Day 3, same result as Day 2....

Someone Help what am i doing wrong?

- Not a hook size issue

Hook size ?
Trout have small mouths.
Maybe something smaller than #3/0.

Only use 1/0 Purple Narrow or 2/0 Flurecent Narrow. You don't need anything more than that. Those 2 are king there. When Trout Lair goes quiet ( which it does sometimes ) go to Bridge of Logs and cast in direction of lake just right of the main rocks. I Alternate those two positions with those two lures and always catch plenty fish both day and night.
hello, also you can try on "nature's chraming hardcore" aim to the right side, between the big rock and the shore - if you can, try to cast passing above the big rock ;) - with a 1/0 walker. very good for farming trouts (mostly browns, but others bites too) by daytime (i fill my 100kg net in peak times easy)

gl ;)

Well, I've never heard anybody complain about catching browns. I'll take them over rainbows any day. Yeah though, the #1/0 purple spoon prolly made me more money than any other bit of tackle in the game.

Nobody's mentioned it, so I can't help it. The kayak is a huge helper in Oregon. I bought mine before my NY trip, so it's just been a given ever since, but I love what the kayak offers to the game. So many spots that can only be reached with a kayak. Thirty grand is a lot, but a kayak offers a lot of utility.

try without kayak first, try to figurout the other spot and try some lure first, because it would be waste if you rushing to buy kayak, if you didnt know where to fishing and what kind of bait to use.
some fishes may be moving around the lake, and some fishes stay at same spot.

I used a lot of stop and go in Oregon.

Mainly though, I float fished. The insect baits for trout are really cheap.

for float, which bait you use? flies? and what depth
Maj.Tryhard 8/set./2018 às 13:54
Mayflies were my favorite, but pretty much any kind of fly will pull trout. Eggs work too, even the cheaper artificial ones.

I don't recall the exact depth, but it was relatively deep. Maybe about 60 inches? I caught them shallow some places, but I seem to recall getting a lot of them down deep.
speed 1 (slowest) 1 or 2 dots walking retrieve; the spot: {LINK REMOVIDO} (but you can get bites anywhere between 50m and 6m from that point)

gl !

It's fishin, bro, try to relax and you might enjoy it more. Oregon is a great lake, just explore a bit and see what you find.

Lots of weeds and partially sunken trees to cast near.
