All Monster Fish - Can any be caught a second time?

Has anyone been able to catch any monster fish a second time after the first one has been caught and saved?

Yes the WW colossal carp you used to be able to catch it hundred times over, but no more fixed year ago only can be caught once

I was only able to get the Unique Redfish twice as I had my rods I think biting at the same time when the quest was tracking

just got the terrortarp and it was a bit heavy'er(33kg) then stated in the missionlog(20kg). net max of 25 meant that i had to release it(bye bye money from the fish itself) , dous this mean i cant catch it again because it would be nice for money and xp as i stiill havve 14 bassy bate.

You caught the fish so the mission is finished and you cannot catch the monsterfish again. It does not matter if you had to release the fish or not.

You can only then catch more than one monsterfish if the others are hooked before the first one was landed. Exceptions are the Monsterfish at Rocky Lake and at Kaniq as you need 10 of them each to finish the mission.

The event fish like krampus tarpon can be caught more than once using required tackle during the event.

When I did monster fish missions you could hook multiple on baits, until you land one, but after they nerfed everything it takes forever to land even small fish and, unless you are lucky, you only land one while the others slack line or time out.

I was told NOT to catch the monster at St. Croix BUT go through the steps to get the lure to catch the monster. Use the lure in other lakes etc. if I lose it, go back to Michigan at some point and get the lure again, as the lure is a good one for fishing in general.

Untrue. I caught the Terror Tarpin and had to release it because the fishkeeper was too small. Bought a larger keeper, went back, and caught the TT again, and THEN the mission was complete.

bruh i just disappointed when i find out Monster fish can be catch once, i just release my first monster fish because it was too big for my keepnet 💀
