Ding sound
What's the "ding" sound I keep hearing while playing?

So if the ding indicates a bite, how come half the time the bobber never moves? And most times when it does do "under" there is no ding.

it only dings one time, and thats when the fish starts to bite. Just like irl, its not always visible. After the ding, the fish can continue to bite (which is visible on the bobber) and eventually take it, or it can leave.

Its also possible to get what some calls a "ghost bite", which basically is a visible nibble, but the fish leaves instantly and you dont get a ding.

The ding alerts you to a fish near bait but watch your float specially with carp they will tug at it 3 to 5 times before actually pulling it under. This is the same for most fish.
