Mega Piranha mission

I have been following all the advice on utube etc for this mission and am having no success at all catching the Mega Piranha. Couple of questions regarding this mission.
1. Should you still be able to catch cyber piranha after completing that mission?
2. Can you catch cyber piranha with no electric leader attached?
I seem to be catching them all the time now for some reason even with no leader, titanium leader etc attached to my setup. Is this a glitch, I am starting to think it is. Cheers.

The condition to catch Mega Piranha is to appear in 1 day. If you catch the first cyber piranha, it means that Mega Piranha will never appear on this day. You must immediately choose to pay gold coins and jump to the next day to bet your luck. , usually Mega Piranha will appear on a cloudy and overcast evening, good luck.

I have heard that you only need one leader in the water and you can catch them on other leaders too. Make sure you have the right leader for the Mega and I would suggest using multiple poles. I caught all of mine from the boat dock at all waterways.

Mega piranhas can be only caught after 7pm evening. Maku Maku near lilly pads from spawn landing across the lake left of boat ramp. To the right of boat ramp at tree stump at Marron River (caught 9 of them within an hour) and to tree stump straight out from boat ramp (dock) in the maze.
Able to catch more before completing the final area.
