That was going to be my next question; do they really allow you to reach anyplace that a solid long casting rod can't?
If not, what value are they?
Good to know, hopefully there are unreachable areas in pretty much every lake or stream that they can be used on, otherwise it just doesn’t make sense to fork over the cash for one.
Hopefully a few more kayak owners will respond.
Pro tip: get the green one. Well worth the $35k or whatever they charge in the shop if you're at a place where you're not in a cash pinch. That's less than a top level reel, and adds quite a bit to the game, imo.
Great response...since I could not easily see what the heck the difference was between the models.
They all seemed to be pretty much the same aside from their weight. What makes the green one superior in your opinion?
In my opinion kayaks are (at this stage) irrelevant. Wish they brought something more to the table than it does.
Also when you run out of "energy" for the paddling,don't stop just keep going. 1mph slower than fully charged only.
