Lone Star Mad-Eye Buffalo Monster
So I tried to catch this guy, and twice hooked him, but once he ending up breaking my reel, and the other time breaking the line. Now I don't have enough of the special line left to fish with. Is it possible to buy it or what do I do now?

Suggest untracking the mission, get rid of what's left of the old line (and any backlashes in your backpack Inventory if any). Stop and restart the game (probably not required, but might help clear things up). Try tracking the first part of the mission again (catch and keep 5 backlashes).

You're welcome, suggest using a lower drag setting (- lower + higher) to stop the line from breaking.

you can get more line by catching more junk out of the lake i think it requires 5 of the fishing line ones
