spincast reels for float fishing

why doesnt this game have spincast reels and small rods? especially for casual float fishing, you shouldn't need a 10 foot telescoping pole to throw live bait

matchrods are the smallest you can get. truthfully ive kinda wished they would add in cane poles.

match rods are still 7 ft and above mostly and are also still spinning rods, i was hoping for spincast reels and rods between 4.5 to 6 ft... you know like old zebco style reels

spincast reels are mostly for kids that a regular spinning reel would be too hard to use
they have poor drag systems,and hold very little line
even the lowest level spinning reel in the game is better then any spincaster

As a kid I had a Zebco Spincast reel on a Zebco Rhino rod. One day I hooked into an 8 pound plus Bowfin. It completely trashed the real. My dad had to put gloves on and pull the sucker in by hand.

obviously youve never used some of the nicer spincasts such as the daiwa goldcast, the johnson century, or the zebco 33's , spinning gear is not superior it serves the same exact purpose except for being easier to tangle and the game seems to assume the only way to float fish is on a rod 7 ft or longer, thats approaching cane pole territory, ♥♥♥♥ the rod you start with is a 10 footer, what the hell would you need that for?

they are reels for fighting fish not horsing them in with heavy line, you are supposed to finesse them, also they are more meant for panfish and pike/walleye

you know.. theres more than just cartoon combos they arent just for kids >.> i use one for dock shooting with live bait the shorter rods make casting from boats alot easier

I was 6 years old, I was not intending to catch a Bowfin. I don't know what test the line was but the drag mechanism took a crap while I was trying to get it in

No all spincast reels are meant for just panfish and small walleye. I have 15lb mono on an old 33 and fish a small river. It beats using a spinning reel by a long shot for bottom fishing. It can "horse in" just about anything I hook in that river, except carp.
