I've been playing this game for years now, and today i noticed my headlight was gone. I've always used it before, was it due to some update ?

How can i get it back ?

The headlight is attached to only one specific hat, to my knowledge. Although I must admit I never wore a different one.

yeah the yellow one, i had it, you got it by default when i bought the game years ago, now it's gone, make nightfishing harder.

To earn the flashlight cap in the game, one must catch 100 fish at night. If you changed hats recently, it may be in your home storage area. Also, take a snapshot of yourself after catching a fish, if you see the lamp on your head, try toggling it on/off with the letter "J."

It's not in my inventory and it's not equiped, I've played this game for 800+ hours, 100% sure i had the head light, now it's just gone.

I really hope there is a way to get it back :)


p.s. Is it possible I deleted it from inventory somehow, or is it a non-removable item. I remember I had to sell so much stuff to get playing again, after they changed some mechanics. (Inventory heavily overloaded, still a bit pissed about that :) )

It is possible you deleted it from your inventory or sold it for 30 baitcoins (like I did). If gone, you can't get it back. However, just make sure you completed the night fishing challenge to catch 100 fish. If completed, and you don't have the flashlight, it is gone permanently.

It works for me. Most times the moon sheds enough light to make night fishing enjoyable. In fact, sometimes fishing next to others with their night lights turned on is quite annoying (as they turn around and flash the beam in your face). To each their own.

A cap with a headlamp is included with the Topwater midnight pack DLC, but it's not cheap. I don't know of any other means to obtain one at present other than emailing [e-mail] and asking them to reset your account. Which I think might be a bit drastic.

Did you confirm that you have already completed the challenge that awards the hat?

The thing is, when i started this game like 3 years ago, I already had it, no need to do any challenges, but i'll check later today, maybe i'm lucky and get it back that way.

That is my point; you may have gotten something long ago which is no longer just handed out; therefore you might be able to get it back through the challenge.

Been playing since 2015, night fishing was introduced in late.2017.
There was no headlight before that.
I don't believe hats of any kind where ever sold in the shop.
There is a toggle switch to turn the light on and off , the letter (J)
