Question about flathead catfish

Will small cutbait work on them? I'm not high enough level to get the medium stuff yet. Of if there are any baits that work well on it that aren't listed, that'd be cool too. Because right now the only bait I can get that's listed are the shiners.

Small cutbait will work for the smaller flatheads, use the largest hook you have for the bigger ones. Shiner will also work, Important thing is to fish in an area that flatheads inhabit, then you should catch them. As well as medium/large cutbait I've also caught them on blood, duck mussel meat, leech, crayfish and frog, but you probably don't have access to them yet.

Yes, you can get Flathead on Small Cutbait. If you are at Neherrin River and want to catch them, I goto the Rubble Of Old Times location and use the following for a level 10 player:

#2/0 Hook (Level 10)
72" Depth
Small Cutbait (Level 5)

Note, you will also get gar with the mentioned above.

Cast towards Coordinates 38, 52 (on your PDA) and you should get one. What you can do is open your PDA and place a blank marker at that location then cast towards it. Once you get a fish you can delete the blank marker with the fish you catch.
