If a fishing game were ever to have a Raid Boss, it would have to be Nessy
A New Zealand fishery might be fun too. Giant eels 6 foot long with about the same girth as your calf. Sight fishing to giant browns and rainbows would be fun too, and the game's come to the point where it would be easy enough to implement something like dry fly fishing.
I also like the idea of either Lake Baikal or something from the Eurasian steppe country with giant taimen, lake trout, and char.
An Australian bush river with sawfish, stingrays, and bull sharks could be fun too. Lots of fishery types mostly unexplored in this game.
Just got to try out Blue Crab Island for the first time today, and wow the devs really did a great job with that one. The map is huge and gorgeous. 5 day trip and just barely scratched the surface of the variety there.
France - home of the really big carp.
Spain - the river Ebro, for big catfish.
India - the giant Mahseer.
or
we could just be happy with what we have and stop whining?
