Personally, I would rather see something like Lake Baikal in Russia, or someplace else further to the East of Weastern Europe. Sturgeon, giant Taimen, monsterous Lake Trout (they get over 110 pounds there), some of the largest Burbot on earth, 30 pound Lenok. It even has it's own Lake Monster for Halloween and the Monster Fish mission.

A norwegian waterway would be cool imo.

I second that - a scandinavian waterway would be nice - but in general waterways from different parts of the world.

One of the most essential fishing places in Europe is the Danube Delta located at the border of Romania and Ukraine. This is the place where the Danube river flows into the Black Sea forming a large delta (wetlands, lakes). There you can find lots of Catfish, Carp, Pike, Zander, the occasional Sturgeon, some fish that migrate from the sea to the river but also many other fish. It is a fisher's paradise. Check out some pictures or videos of this place. You will be amazed. Now this is a location I would like to see in Fishing Planet.

Maybe the ultimate Halloween Lake, Loch Ness?
If a fishing game were ever to have a Raid Boss, it would have to be Nessy:steamhappy:

I'd like to see another South American waterway that's a little more of a clear water fishery. Maybe an Amazonian headwater river chock full of golden dorado - arguably the best game fish in South America. Or an Andean river full of rainbow trout so huge that the best way to fish them is to tie a hook to a live mouse and throw it in. Or maybe a lowland Patagonian river with 50 lb sea run brown trout.

A New Zealand fishery might be fun too. Giant eels 6 foot long with about the same girth as your calf. Sight fishing to giant browns and rainbows would be fun too, and the game's come to the point where it would be easy enough to implement something like dry fly fishing.

I also like the idea of either Lake Baikal or something from the Eurasian steppe country with giant taimen, lake trout, and char.

An Australian bush river with sawfish, stingrays, and bull sharks could be fun too. Lots of fishery types mostly unexplored in this game.

Just got to try out Blue Crab Island for the first time today, and wow the devs really did a great job with that one. The map is huge and gorgeous. 5 day trip and just barely scratched the surface of the variety there.

Sweden - "land of 100,000 lakes".
France - home of the really big carp.
Spain - the river Ebro, for big catfish.
India - the giant Mahseer.
or
we could just be happy with what we have and stop whining? :steammocking:
