SOLVED Cant get the OPEN FISH MENU challenges to work

I went to mud water and got all the fish but it wont complete. The open fish menu just stays on the screen even when in the fish menu. Happens on the second lake you unlock also.
Any tips to get it to work?

Edit. they have removed the open fish menu from the challenges and i just had to go back and catch all the fish again. Thank you

(Memory of this is a bit vague now) Once your at the waterway it should be press I(nventory) or Esc, select the Map screen and select the Fish Species tab. Nothing else to do. Can only suggest sending an email to [e-mail] with your game name, platform (Steam, PS4 or Xbox) and a description of the problem that you're experiencing (may take a while - the weekend).

Yeah i know how to get to the tab but it wont register that im in the fish menu. The message in the centre of the screen still stays up telling me to open the fish menu to see the bait and lure for the target fish while im in the fish menu and at the lake/river, i clicked on all the fish just in case too.
