Rod broke... got below 0%

I never got him in bunder 20m from shore... it was really impossible, no matter what i did. What did i do wrong ?!
Obviously, i needed a bigger rod, reel and line. But is there any of you that could have got that fish with my setup ?!
I feel numb in my hand now... and it frankly got booring after 15 minutes. And now i have to do this 5 pcs of bark again, and wait every day for that small moment you can catch it/him/her. :-/

That Dendrofin monster can get up to nearly 7 kg (around 15 lbs), not able to view the home shop atm, but yes, your setup was too light. Something like the biggest Jigwinner270(?) and a EspiraMLR3500 or Breamer reel might give you half a chance. It is supposed to feed only at midday and midnight (12 pm/am) for an hour. GL.

Yeap, i got the fish now. With a bigger rod, reel and line. I just assumed you could use the rods that you use around that area, without bringing a bigger rod.
I always try to match my rig with the fishes in the area... but monsters are just far beyond resonable to catch with the same rig.

Yeah, the Monsters were originally supposed to be challenges for higher level players. It was assumed that you would be going back there with heavier gear. In fact, you might want to check out the Monster sizes before you hit a lake. Some of them are really, really huge, often they are the biggest fish in a particular body of water.

Yeap, i learned my lesson. Lvl up properly first, and get the correct gear.

For the record, the "Time: 12:10-17:45" was the total time i actually had im on the hook. I should have released him after an hour in game...
