Fish/keep net issues

I can't switch out the new fish/keep net I just bought with the old one I had. It's not showing up in my inventory even though I got the little "warning" saying I was buying it. My kids and I are trying to just enjoy the game nad have some fun. But mommy is at a loss here. Can someone help me?

You sure you are at home location and in home inventory screen? Should be visible there. Not sure what warning was.

Everything you buy at the shop even at the lakes is taken immediatly in your backpack and NOT in your home inventory.

But in case of Glytchy I am afraid I have no answer, maybe I get you wrong. Try to buy again and read carefully if it has succeeded or not.

If you are buying something from the store WHILE fishing at the lake AND your "Backpack" is full, then anything you buy will go to your "Home" inventory.

If that was the case then you will have to leave the lake and go to your "Home" inventory to retrieve it and rebalance your "Backpack" contents (there are limitations). Pretty simple.

Not true though. Gear like stringer/net, bags, jacket etc is allways taken to your home inventory. You cant have these items in your backpack.

The little "warning" you got most likely said "You can't equip item currently, but you can place it to Home Storage".
This mean you need to be back at the global map to equip your stringer/net, you can't be on a lake doing this.

Wrong, fishjail will not go in your backpack.

The warning is what I get whenever I buy anything. It just lets me know I am purchasing items

Actually the "warning" tells you where the item you just bought is being placed. Either it's in your backpack or your home storage. And when it comes to stringers/nets they will allways be placed in your home storage.
