Need help with my rod
Hey everyone
I am a level 7 player, and i wanted to buy a new rod, so i bought the CreekPro 270
I have tried setting it up for about 30 minuttes, and i just can't see how to do it, it either says the tackle is too heavy or light, and i have no idea what to do.
So if there are anyone who knows what i can do at level 7, so i can start fishing with my new rod
Thank you.

Short version: buy feeder cage or sinkers that are at the lower end of the casting weight range.

Long version: When viewing your rod in your inventory it will have a casting weight range : nn - nnn, start off with the lower range number for your feeder cage or sinker weight at first until you're familiar with the setup (the weight of some baits and feeder mixes can cause the casting weight max to be exceeded). The rod will also have a line weight range, select a spinning reel that is equal or slightly less than higher line weight number, select a line that is equal or slightly less than the reels max drag, select a mono leader that is equal or less than the lines Test.
(from strongest to weakest) Rod>Reel>Line>Leader
Add the rod to a rod slot in your backpack, add reel, add line,(you can also add a simple bell), add small feeder or sinker, add leader (you can shorten the mono leaders length), add hook, add bait. (could use Fluoro (fish can't see) or Titanium (avoid being bitten off, may spook the fish) leaders instead of Mono). Go to Texas and try it out.

This might help:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyYMnKMnNHs

He gets in to Bottom Rod setups at 6:44 in the video.
He runs in to the same problem you're asking about in the video and corrects it.
The sinker is too heavy.

The basics are you need to pick gear so the Line Weight of the Rod and the Max Drag weight of the Reel match as closely as you can get them to match. The correct sinker to use for the Bottom Rod you choose needs to be less than the Casting Weight of the rod, not right on or even close to the max weight the rod can cast. Everything you add to the line adds weight. The sinker isn't the only thing that contributes to the weight the rod you chose has to cast.

Match up the weight capacities on the rod, the reel, and line you choose. Then use casting gear (jig heads, sinkers, etc) that are less weight than the max casting weight the rod is rated for.

Those Drop and Bullet sinkers are used with the Carolina, Three-way and Texas rigs (along with offset hooks and then a soft plastic), you will need to make a selection from the Sinkers listing in the shop (Terminal tackle). HTH.

Your trying to use the wrong type of sinker. Those are for the spinning rig setups. You need the basic sinker. https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1248009146872324654/8794AEBD8CBEA86FC48A1FABD3A4C470ADC66D4E/?imw=1920&&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false This is a basic setup.
