Ofc you can size up for trouts... but it happened I had those with me and not bogger ones lol
And ofc... it's not reported to work for the trouts if I recall correctly, but I was fishing Falcon Lake and tried to catch bass on them and all I landed at the time were trouts ;-)
I fished early day sunny with bobber on all cheap stuff. regular worms, cheese, marshmallows, grasshoppers and such... in a very small amount of time you'll get a nice income... no need to get around with the expensive small minnows... just for the giggles.
All I can tell though... it's true that now I get far more youngsters than I remember in the old times... but you catch them easy... so if you have room in your inventory... those kind of plastics are always great fun to have around ;-)
So get there with your well known lures for trouts, and experiment with various less known ones...
You could also tour a bit my pics ;-) you'll see quite some in Oregon... with variety of plastics...
