Carp Fishing In Weeping Willow
Hey, folks, just had a couple of questions for all you high level players regarding fishing for Carp in Weeping Willow. I'm due to unlock that particular fishery in just a little while, maybe tonight or tomorrow, depending on how the Giants are biting in Russia.
That said, it is my understanding, from the research I have done, that Weeping Willow is the Mecca for Carp Fisherman.
When going for the giant carp, is it better to use all Carp Gear (i.e. Carp Hooks, Carp Leaders, the Braided Line especially designed for Carp, etc.) or to mix in other gear? I was thinking mostly about things like using Floro Line and Leaders. These are supposed to get more bites than other line and leader types. From my experience, this is true. Would this carry over to the Carp Fishery, or would using Carp specific gear lead to better results (that is, more and larger Carp).
Thank you all in advance for your time and advice.

P.S., I have been checking out guides online for Weeping Willow, but they are pretty much all out of date. Most seem to have been posted well before the most recent batch of major changes and additions, so do not cover the new leader types or bite changes.

I think the dedicated carp gear is the way to go for the biggies, I use braid line expecting the carp leader to stop them from being scared off (seems to work well enough).

A suggestion of what to take:
2 carp rod setup with method feeders, a Spod setup, a Heavy chaser setup, a Big Alli setup, (maybe) a All Round feeder setup and possibly a light spinning setup (5 kg 11 lb).
Find a likely spot (fish activity is a good sign), maybe check the depth with a carp rod, mix up a batch of method mix and attach to method feeders and the Spod rods. Cast carp rods, put (around) 5 spod casts in the general area of the boilie baits (maybe put another spod in after a game hour or when the fish stop biting).
Use the other feeder/bottom rods, and maybe have a little spin while you wait.
6/0 carp hooks are a good size.
The weather conditions will have something to with what works best and when.
You might consider also taking some corn, peas, bloodworms, maggots, leeches, pea dough, small minnows, large cutbait and some narrow spoons if you are after all the species that are available there.
Experiment and see what works.

Thanks for the info!
I agree with Julian. Specific carp gear works great there. I went to Weeping Willow first, then went back to Sand Baggerslee lake and tried the same gear that worked at Willow. It did not work at all and am now using 4 floats. Fish are definitely bigger in Weeping Willow and a full net with Premium made me quite a bit more than in Sand Baggerslee.

Thanks, man! I should be ready to buy my Lvl 50 gear set and head on over in a couple of hours.
dont bother it has been nerfed to the point where most streamers dont even stream or they dont do videos anymore.
It was great to level up and target those 40kg plus carp but that was in the past.
One of my fishing friends is all up into the carp fishing. Here's a link to her work.

Yeah, I know.
Thanks, anyway, but this was a year and a half ago or so ago. I'm in the Amazon, these days, grinding on giant Catfish, or doing the new Monster Fish missions.

It was in 2020, before the nerf
Where is a good place to find setups (bait+recipies) for UK these days? I can do ok with random haphazard mixes, but I would like to know what combos actually produce better results. I heard that the new ubersheet will eventually have this info added, but until then would like to head back to the UK better prepared.
