Leader break offs

Anyone else getting lots of leader break offs. i have lost 5 or 6 today at least. they are not degraded and the right line strength. Only started happening the last update. annoying to say the least.

Just lost a popper at night on 17lb braid, no leader. Fishing lily pad channel for large mouth bass. Gear was not strained much and suddenly pop its gone with a bite off.

fishing at weeping willow for carp. 51lb leader to 53lb fluro line. wasnt degraded at all.

Really even for fish that do not have teeth as such. From what I have seen they seem to have a similer mouth to our sea bass. Would never consider a wire trace for them, even with a chance of a tope taking the bait.

Ridiculous. There is no way you should need titanium leaders for carp. Normal leaders should be just fine and should not break. You should not be having that issue there. It's definitely broken this new leaders system.

Regarding the Carp. Are you possibly running out of line on your spool and snapping you off perhaps?

nope. the only thing i could possibly put it down to is line clipping and the fish running the line out to that.

It is hard getting to grips with the new system. More choice means more chance to choose the wrong thing. Not had any problems with carp leaders getting bitten. Where i have had problems I have either switched to the new titanium or the new fluoro leaders. Takes a while but you will get it right.

I have the same problem. Lost 4 x-series baits :(

i bought the crabisland dlc there is no titanium leaders with the pack you a pack of 70 lb leaders which break as soon as you put them in the water i have lost 4 out of the 5 you get.
the only titanium leaders the are useful is 30lb plus the other snap to easily.
theres no way you should have to use titanium leaders for nearly all fish i cant even go barbel fishing nowing that the asp have to have titanium leaders it's a joke ok use them for pike and above not for bass.
i want be paying anymore until its sorted out i may loss all my licences i would rather lose them then all my gear.

im afraid to use my x-series lures because of this. its a lottery. you just dont know when your going to lose them. Devs seriously need to sort this out. As well as the rod stand alarm problem of fish being on but not indicating. then lost bait etc. bad update IMO

i would not trust it to use x series stuff i dont trust it with normal gear nevermind x series i only do barbel or wels at tiber, bridges but the asp are contanstly getting in the way.

So what do you do now when for example you want to catch Trout in Michigan where there is also Walleye around. If you use Fluro the Walleye will break your line and if you use titanium then Trout won't bite ?
