Your rod length determines your ability to cast farther. It is a gear limitation.

Weight is usually the key. A heavier bobber, lure, weight etc. And if you are just trying to get farther casting for achievements, thinner line helps just like in real life.

Try this combination:

Rod: JigWinner 270
Reel: Espira MLR 3500
Line: Flouro 0.3

You should be able to cast up to 70 meters. Also you can set the drag to 90% without breaking anything. 5kg of drag.

For more heavier setups try to find a ubersheet. It usually has a "Combo" section. I never used it but I guess it is proper information.

But here is one everybody and Santa himself uses:

Rod: Rivertex Zeus 270
Reel: ThunderSpin 5500
Line: Flouro 0.6

Cast distance: up to 60 meters depending on the lure weight. Could be few meters more for heaviest ones. Also 90% of drag can be set without breaking anything. 19kg of drag.

Casting Setup:

Casting is always lower distance. Especially heavier setups. You can get max 40-50 or so meters there depending on lure weight since heavy casting rods\reels have big weight requirement.

Here is a medium setup:

Rod: BassCaster 240
Reel: Counselor 3500 S
Line: Braid 0.9

Cast distance: up to 50 meters depending on lure weight. 90% of drag without breaking anything. 10kg of drag.

If you have just started you need to change "pitch' when float fishing, press F11 so you are not holding the line before casting. Telescopic rods don't cast far, upgrade to a omni or nero match rod when you can.

If you're float fishing a pear shaped float gives a good extra distance due to better aerodynamics.
