What do you mean by "the fish is gone"? Did you break the line?

Please check if you actually moved the drag from 6 to 7...that would definately make your drag exceed your line weight, breaking the line and losing the fish.

There is a bit of exaggeration in the industries. Well, a fish that is 1.6 kg, has a large lamprey? Laughter ... This big lamprey will devour her. Some moderation is needed here

@Lenny Rat, no the line did not break. When the fish is gone I can reel further in. Nothing is broken, all is well but the lack of the fish. Thank you for answers.

That is very strange...once a fish is hooked and the hook is "set" it is would be very rare to lose it. Only 2 items come to mind.

1) You never "set" the hook. Even when it appears a fish has been hooked and you are reeling them in with obvious weight on the line, you should use RMB to "set" while you continue reeling. I have had fish take a lure and drag it along but spit it out before I propely set the hook.

2) You had insufficient line tension. This can happen when the fish runs straight at you and the reel cannot take up line as fast as the fish is running. You will get a message at the top of the screen when this happens; however you may have missed it in the heat of the moment.

Other than that, I cannot think of anything to cause this.

As Lenny said, you shouldn't lose a fish once the hook is set. The only exception is losing your fish to low line tension, which will then appear at the top of your screen as a tooltip. "Fish escaped due to low line-tension," or something to that effect.

If nothing suggested here seems to help, I'd say the next step would be to submit a ticket to support@fishingplanet.com detailing your issue. Hopefully they can help.

I have had fish take a bait/lure but not have the hook(s) engage/set (auto-strike where the reel switches to speed 4). This usually occurs when I am experiencing a poor or slow connection.
