~ Colorado = very pretty but very tiny lake = quick trip (short 3-5 day week?)
~ Alberta Canada = bland white scenery, I only know a few holes (3-5 day week?)
~ Oregon = lots of holes, will be here quite a while :)
~ Michigan = I know some holes & people here!

Anyway - full day & night only got me 120 LB fish and $11K (non-premium), but trout are really FUN and fiesty fighters! Had even more FUN when 2 of my friends showed up and we compared lures, locations, markers, baits, depths, etc.
Finally, a 30 minute event popped up when I restarted my day, so I joined that as my first ever event & caught a UNI cutthroat in the first 5 minutes. I need to check the final standings to see how I did (I was 42nd when my 30 minutes ended) but for a first ever event it was really FUN!
Hmmm... looks like there is pattern here... lots of FUN!
Also, travel is only $2,850 + $500 to add each day.
~ I bought the unlimited license when I was a noob, because after 1 day, I knew I'd be back.
I might shoot for some pan fish today too because I can see them right at my feet!
Anyway, hope to see you all at the lake!
I finished @ 70 of 114 finishers & 210? entrants
I love this little lake - you think it might be boring because ti is so small, but that just gives you the chance to cast EVERYWHERE with EVERYTHING and catch SOMETHING!!!!!
So if you look at the species list for this lake - there are 2 UNI trout - cutthroat & golden.
I plan to dig into the other species and make sure I get one of everything in the next weekdays.
We are headed to CANADA next weekend.
Hope you will join us!
Heading for CANADA later today / maybe tomorrow...
I just left CO & headed to CANANDA for a 3-5-7? days.
I love CO tho & will be back to find that white sucker on my next trip.
~ along with some bigger UNI cutthroats, goldens, trophy blugill and crappie, etc!!!!!
Great little lake!
After a VERY slow start hunting LAKE trout w/ spoons, I changed my strategey.
Went to shiners on #3/0 hook at edge of ice & scored a 5.51 LB uni BROOK trout.
I'm pretty happy with that & will return tomorrow & next few days until I get a UNI lake trout.
This "trout hunt" month has been a ton of fun so far & we're only on lake 2 of 4.
