Missions
With the new release of missions, I've been excited to get started with them. The thing is, when I "track" a mission, it is asking me to buy equipment which is WAY too expensive according to the money I have (I am a bit tight on money right now). So my question is, is it possible to buy a cheaper rod and complete the mission?

Another question : Is it possible to use my existing float setup to complete the mission?

The equipment required is all low level and should be covered with money from the missions themselves, but watch the travel cost. Easier to put items in home storage and just follow the mission rquirements (re : existing float setup)

They do not tell you but I would just carry on fishing and fill a few nets at the same place to earn the money to do the travel and buy the license if requird etc.

They should state that on the First Tutorial Mission, so you build up funds, the missions do not reward enough money to do the travel required if you leave when it tells you.

Better to buy extra days and fill net again.

I am level 40 plus and no money issues (7 digits), so i just jump around buying this and that as requested.

My question was really, does the setup have to be the exact same as the one it asks for?

It is part of the mission parameters and It seams as if the missions do not take into account that you have the item asked for, (example), there is part of the missions where you have to buy Mayflies, even tho I had over 150 of them already I still had to buy another 25 in order for that part of the mission to progress further so I would say yes you do.

Money and bait coins needed to complete all the missions will be earned from doing them without further funding.

consider, this was the tutorial intended for those new to FP, not those of us who've played for some time. I agree that the travel costs need to be addressed for new players with fair warning to un-track the next mission until enough fish have been caught and sold.

And the bass and catfish missions could have been put at lonestar. No need to have the player travel to mudwater twice for either one of those. And after the very first mission the system should draw big attention to the player that they should forward time to 5am when keepnet is full , not leave the lake. In fact I would have made it the second mission. " Now fill your net and fast forward time to 5am to sell your fish ". Those first few mission concentrate too much on leaving the waterway and traveling around as those are the biggest mistakes new players make. And now the missions compound it.

Hopefully a dev sees these flaws...

I was wondering what was the point of that first mission for people who have already have better gear. I don't want to waste 4000 bucks on a begginer rod, I'm level 20 and thigh on money.
