Halloween event

In over 30 years of gaming I have never seen such a money grab as this EVENT. Not to mention that when you go to a location with no pumkins , you cant fish ,leave map or quit game . I have to use taskmanager to close game , reopen and them leave map . The bait you need for this , you WILL have to spend loads of rl money to get it as pumkins give nothing you need apparently . 0 rewards for anything ive done while everyone else gets lures for completing them . All the fish eat the RARE bait , and usually a minumum of 15 dings just to catch a regular fish that countsfor nothing and wastes the bait . I could go on but im so mad about this unreal greedy event that I cant think straight . Do at your own risk , of a heart attack .

level 9 and halloween event?

I have 9 lvl and I can not go to quanchkin lake, does it mean that I can not do the event?

I agree. I used to look forward to these events but this is a money making event, pure and simple. I love the game but this is beyond what I would have expected. What a shame.

Correct, but you can still go to the other unlocked lakes you have and find the pumpkins and press "E" on them for goodies! I've got some lures and baits from them so far! You can do each one every 24 hours (Real time)

Halloween Event - Really?

This years' Halloween event was my first one with FP. I was excited to see something that could give me incentive to travel around to several of the locations that I had never visited.

Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the "event" requires many unique items, lures, line, etc., that cost lots of Baitcoins in order to complete the various steps involved in completing the mission. I expected that there would be rewards possible to recover or even increase my Baitcoin count, but so far it looks like I will have to spend literaly dozens of BC's while only able to recover a small percentage.

Can somebody tell me why I should be excited about this event? Am I missing something?

Unfortunately, it's sad. They made a surprise for the players: they will be able to spend more money on this game! hooray !! Developers will behave as if they did not understand the law of supply and demand. It does not reach them that if they set prices so high they will not sell anything. Probably I would buy these "bitecoins" myself, but not at such prices! with all due respect, but this is not some "Fallout", "Division" or other "Civilization" so that it could cost so much! They promise "promotion" again and again. Promotion which is all about making everything more expensive. It's really treating your fans like idiots. I think this game is great, but the pricing policy here is unacceptable.

So you think expenses are only justified when you've already spent 60 bucks on the game in the first place?

Could just be difference of opinion, but I believe the opposite. I spent full price for Fallout and Division, (never been a Civ player) and I felt like I should never have to spend another dime after spending the full 60 just to get in.

When you're playing a game that's completely free, if you want every possible special item, you might need to be prepared to spend a few dollars if you want it without spending a lot of time and effort to get it. That's how free games work, otherwise, the devs would recieve nothing for their efforts. You spend money, or you spend time. Your choice. Don't whine cause you can't get everything without spending either, this aint Unicef.
