I'm guessing its a capacity issue with so many people online trying to get those historics...
I've been playing for 20 minutes today and it's kicked me off 3 times so far, and now it doesn't want to let me back in at all. Just keeps loading in and saying it lost the server.
Pretty hard to make money when I'm having to buy licenses that I don't get to use cause I can't play the game. Not to mention I keep catching these historics that provide no money at all.
It's getting pretty frustrating. I'm about to run out of money if this doesn't pick up. Either that or I'm gonna have to stop playing for a while to let the servers calm down.
Apparently this game doesn't function well under any sort of load, cause I'm not having issues with any other game or program.
Laptop ??
you can call it just after pressing space on the first loading screen, that way you can check if the game is actually connected, also that shows your ping to the servers; ofc if the ping is too high probably you will need to check if a program or another device is "eating" most of your upload bandwidth exactly at that time..
some games/programs are more sensitive than others with high latency issues.. even a few ms of high latency can dc you off from servers, others just slows (or stop) you client waiting a few secs to have a normal connection speed (like D3 or HotS).
i play with only a 150mb download / 8 mb upload connection, 5 pcs (including the one that i use to play fp) permanent running iptv programs (almost 24/7), and a few small devices where kids watch toons. my client runs with arround 130ms of latency all the time and dont have any connection issues.
i saw in a friend's pc that his ping was more than 1000 ms - (sometimes the counter touches 10000ms+ before dc) and cant stay connected to FP more than a couple of mins. we search a bit and find out that his son was uploading vids to utube. after finishing every upload, the game runs normal again for a few mins.. ofc we enter on the router settings and just cut his son's devices upload speed to 1/10, and my friend never got "random" dcs again xD
maybe your issue could be related to that, testing a bit wont take too much time.
good luck!
And no, it's not a laptop. It's a solid mid-range custom rig. My download can fluctuate between 50-100 mbps but my upload is a pretty constant 5.
I've been playing a lot the last few weeks, this has only been a problem for the last few days.
I also played multiple different MP games last night and wasn't experiencing any lag or issues in any of them.
