terminal tackle too light help
so im using a cast reel and casting rod i like to use bass jigs and spoons one of my fave and its tells me terminal tackle too light its realy annyoing

We're going to need a bigger lure. Sorry if I am incorrect on this, but in order to cast effectively, the lure must be heavy enough to pull the line from the reel when casting. I fthe lure is too light then it does not aquire enough power to pull much line depending on the weight of the line and possibly the drag of the wheel. Where physics meets fishing. Tight lines to you.

Too light terminal tackle can still be used, but it will not cast as long a distance as properly weighted lures. there are a couple of locations where more than one species can becaught at the same spot, and often they will strike the same basic type of lure (or bait). using a smaller hook/lure size means more of the smaller fish can be caught, but does not eliminate the chance for larger ones. although it can (and has) been done, catching a 30 pound fish on a 12 pound rig is not generally ideal; if it's a distinct possibility and you know it, throwing a lighter lure cuts the chances of it happening somewhat.
