Should i buy a kayak?
I almost have enough to buy the starter kayak. I have been saving up for one for quite some time now. Should i go ahead and buy one or wait till when the devs release the actual bass boats that i'm sure are going to cost $$$$$? TIA.

The Kayaks are a lot of fun and you can earn some challenges as well. Go for it, boats are a ways off.

Alright thanks. That's the main reason i wanted to get one. Game is getting a bit stale. Only traveled once since the beginning. I assume i should just go ahead and get the $35k one right? Not much price diffrence in the 3.

The kayaks i think are a must it helps you get closer to the best fishing spots, but it depends on what level you are and what lakes you can access.

I’m a level 14 right now. Have $29k. ATM I almost exclusively play lone star lake. I know you can’t use a kayak on it I think I have only traveled once so far lamo. My gear is pretty decent but I’m having a lot of issues with the bass so far. My reel sucks.

If your cash reserves are such that you sre even DEBATING about whether or not to spend $35K, I would honestly advise you to skip the kayak and use that money to upgrade your equipment and for travel/license expenses.

The kayaks take some time getting used to. Not to mention the fact it takes FOREVER to get anywhere using them. Couple that with the fact that bigger fish have a tendency to pull you around and you'll spend lots of time you could be fishing getting your kayak back in the right position.

In other words, you'll be wasting LOTS of time messing with the kayak. Time that might be better spent with your lure/bait in the water actually CATCHING FISH and earning more money from the bank.

As it currently stands, using the kayaks isn't going to help you make MORE money. They are more a novelty and for fun and you won't find even ONE SINGLE PLACE where you can fish from that Kayaks (that you CAN'T get to from the bank) which will help you catch bigger or more fish.

One would assume that eventually, the Devs are going to release a LARGE lake that has better fishing spots ONLY accessible via Kayak.

Until that happens (with your cash), you are probably better off using your available money and time farming the well-known/high-return spots accessible from the bank.

Common sense isn't common.

If you wanna have fun sure go for it. Also, if you have spare cash. From my experiences a kayak isn't really needed since most of the hot spots you can reach on land therefore you credits are probably better going to equipment. Not sure if this happens to anyone but for some reason I find my bite rates decreasing going to the spot where I cast on land?

That's the main reason i am wanting to buy one. For Fun. I wasn't sure if bugs were a huge problem still. I play this game for fun. It's free. If i wanted to go fish IRL i would walk out the door pick my gear up and be on the lake in 5 mins. I litterally live that close to a lake. Lately the weather has been miserable so it's just easier/warmer to just play this lol.

Speaking of bugs/stranges things i have noticed that if you stand just off of the bridge on Lone star lake but cast in the same area as bass you will get everthing but a bass. Last night i caught several grass pickrel and catfish by casting out into the middle of the lake. Stand on the bridge and cast there and you will get bass.

If its just for fun then yeah go for it. Not sure if its for everyone but I haven't run into much bugs on a kayak, but I'm sure some have. The only issue I have with it is top water action. To me it just seems kinda off compared to using it on land.

If i was you, i will keep all your money to buy all the incoming feeder stuff, it will be more usefull than the kayak.
