Turtle spoon lost, can't get a new one

It tells me to equip it but it is gone. It won't let me catch any more turtles either. Any ideas?

Did it get sent home due to a full backpack ? Some things (like baits) can be reset by leaving the waterway and returning (apparently, not 100% sure).

I did check that too just in case. You needed to cast a decent distance so I had 15 lb line, 26 lb reel and a very strong rod. I put it on 1 of 8 bars for drag knowing I should be able to reel in a 3 pound fish easy but wasn't sure where to set it. I hooked the target fish, instantly red lined and snap, lure gone. Nowhere to be found. Same setup I used for Texas Madeye and got them in no problem.

I figured it out. You need to select the mission to catch the 3 turtles again or for some reason you won't catch them. Once you get 3 more, you get another spoon.

I lost my spoon aswell and i selected the missin again but it still wont let me catch the turtles any ideas

I think the idea was to untrack the mission, return home, track the mission again and return to the waterway.

I didn't have to leave. You just need to go back to the missions list and check that mission again to make it active. I got it to work and caught the 10 fish too.

Your line should not have snapped though , something is wrong there. The reel put 3.25lb of stress per click of drag. If you had it on only 1 click then there is no way 15lb line should snap with only 3.25lb of stress being put on it. 4 Clicks of drag ( 14lb ) would still have been safe.

Totally agree. Fortunately after some work I figured out how to replace it. I am just making sure not to use that combo for any other missions.
