For Mudwater lure fishing, you'll want a setup around 5-10 lbs. The bass there only get up to a few pounds, but the bowfin can reach over 5 pounds and they fight very hard.
........and then there are the 12+ lb Trophy Channel Catfish.
How many in game credits do you have?
What keepnet do you have?
Do you prefer lure or float fishing?
What fish do you want to target?
Do you have any other rods/reels than the ones you start with in game?
if you answer the above I can try and help you make a good selection.
I had answered some of these questions in my first post but I'll repeat here:
My credits are around 16000, my keepnet has 12 kg limit, I'll try lure fishing, my rod for lure fishing is Valve spin 230. Also I'm at level 12.
Please suggest me a rod that can be bought with credits, not gold.
Thanks
It seems nero series are for float fishing(not sure though). I need one for lure. Also the one you recommend is at level 19. PLEASE pay attention to my posts.
I didn't think channels would hit lures.
Sorry, I don't know all the gear by memory, and I'm not at my computer.
You're right about the Nero though, it's a float rod. I use one, myself.
This will allow you to garner more credits ($) and then work your way up to say level 16 - 18 and then you will have a much better selection of rods and reels to choose from.
Just a thought, good luck.
I think you're in luck. I use a Valuespin 260 on mudwater all the time. It has worked fine for bowfin, bass etc for me whenever I lure fish there, and at level 22 it's my primary lure rod for anything up to the size of Neherrin fish.
You can buy it in the sop for 1950 credits, and it's a level 8 item so you should have access to it. Hope that helps! Good fishing.
Thanks for the tip, which reminded me now that I have 26 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours in this game and the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fish I've caught is not even 1 kgs. In "Ultimate fishing simulator" game by that experience and time I had caught a 36 kg Grass Carp. This is making me sick man, there are only 3 locations I have been to yet. ♥♥♥♥ IT.
OK I'm gonna try the "260" soon. Hope it will work. Thanks
Well, that's the difference between arcade and simulation.
Also, there's fish up to around 5 lbs just on the first map(buffalo and channel cats.) The second map goes up to the low teens. North Carolina, another low level map, has fish up to 30 or so pounds.
Ok my appologies
For Mudwater, the ValueSpin 230 is good enough for lure fishing.
The key is to make sure your rod and reel are about the same kg. and the line is your weakest point.
Below are some options for you:
Option #1
Rod = ValueSpin 230 = Max line weight is 3.4kg Lure Weight Max: 20g
Reel = WinCast 2500 = Max drag 2.9kg
Line = Either Mono .23mm or Braid 0.15mm Test is 2.7kg
Option #2
Rod = ValueSpin 230 = Max line weight is 3.4kg Lure Weight Max: 20g
Reel = CrucianHunter 3000 = Max drag 3kg
Line = Either Mono .23mm or Braid 0.15mm Test is 2.7kg
Option #3
Rod = ValueSpin 230 = Max line weight is 3.4kg Lure Weight Max: 20g
Reel = EspiraSlim 2500 = Max drag 2.9kg
Line = Either Mono .23mm or Braid 0.15mm Test is 2.7kg
Option #4
Rod = ValueSpin 230 = Max line weight is 3.4kg Lure Weight Max: 20g
Reel = CrucianHunter 3500 = Max drag 3.25kg
Line = Either Mono .23mm or Braid 0.15mm Test is 2.7kg
As far as lures goes
Casting spoons are good lures for there.
The keys for lures is to make sure the lure weight does not exceed the max on the rod.
After you get your rod setup it is always wise to set your drag at 1/2 settings. So if it has 8 drag settings, start it at 4 and increase as needed, but keep an eye on your meters.
Hope that helps

No problem; thanks again :)
If I remember correctly I just bought the EspiraSlim 2500 but haven't tried it in that place yet. My lure weight is abaut 7 or 9 grams. Line .23mm. I know abaut the drag but sometimes the fish exceeds my line length and I lose the lure eventually.
And yes, this will definitely help :)
still fun, now selling cs:go skins to support the game to buy some DLCs ;D
