I don't have bloodworms with me. It seems my mistake was the hook size, the smallest hook I have is #2. I thought that way I would catch bigger fishes. Thanks for the info.
Thank you I'll try that. I know its stupid but I don't understand the term float. This far and still haven't learned :) Can you explain?
Float is float fishing , the type of fishing you started with in the beginning of the game.
What method of fishing are you using currently at Lesni ?
I've been there with the struggle on Lesni Vila.
When Marshall said float, they meant the style of fishing the game starts you with. A bobber floating on the surface that the bait dangles off of. There are other styles such as retrieving (constantly reeling a fish shaped lure to you), and feeders (The bait floats to the bottom and you feel the rod and line to know when you have a bite).
The feeder style rod is supposed to work wonders on Lesni, but I believe you're just a low level. Use the smaller hooks recommended by the other players with redworms and you'll be catching stuff in no time! Unfortunately, Lesni is not the place for big hook sizes.
I have one float setup and one with lures.
I know nothing abaut feeders and also I don't have a setup for that at the moment.
Lures will not do well there. And float will have medium success on #6 with redworms or bread and honey. But that lake is optimized for feeders really. You will be better of with 2x feeder rods.
I would advise to use your float until license expire , go back to Lonestar and farm bass there until you can afford the beginner feeder setup. 2x beginner feeders rods , 2kg reel on each one , 1.8kg line on each one. 1 of them #6 with red worms , the other #4 with bread and honey. That is the best way to fish Lesni.
Well I don't think I like this. I would prefer float or lure methods. I might avoid Lesni.
So do you think is it too early for me at this stage to go for more expensive locations. I want to do that.
A noob question, forgive: I've been float fishing for some time but I wonder am I doing it right?
Here's what I do: I cast for abaut 15 meters, wait for abaut 8 seconds or up to 12 then I reel for abaut 2 meters closer and wait again and repeat until the rod comes out of water. Is this attitude right?
Considering you're only level 8, you might not have the equipment and resources for a new lake yet. If you're really wanting to get out of Texas, you could try Missouri or maybe even Colorado.
It all just depends on how strong your gear is and how much money you've saved up.
Typically, you should just let the bait sit until a fish grabs it.
The better option then is to go to New York ( Emerald Lake ). But your level is too low. Farm bass at Lonestar until you can have at least a 15kg stringer as well as a 2.9kg spinning setup with 2.7kg line. Get the Narrow Spoon 7g 1/0 Ammorite ( purple ) spoon for that. Hammer the Walleye at night there. For Walleye fish ONLY at night there. You should enjoy the lure fishing for them and you will make lots of money as well. But you need that setup I mentioned.
No that is not correct way of doing it. It will work sometimes like that but not often , with float fishing you need to keep it still. Cast it and wait. Don't drag it closer every few second. Float fishing is a waiting game. If you don't get a bite at all in the spot then recast to a different spot.
Right now I have abaut 9000 but I can make more easy in Texas, I have unlimited advanced license. My equipment(rod, line, reel) is a little more than starter.
