Smallmouth Buffalo at Texas
Hello guys, so i've been trying lots and lots of methods to get the smallmouth buffalo at the first map (i'm level 42), just because i wanted to fish with some friends that started, but i can't get any, and when i'm saying i've tried everything....it's like every guide on youtube and my owns ways, trying bottom fishing, bobber, all types of baits, during day, during night, on every hour of the day...and nothing...so, anyone having the same issue?? am i broken or something?? thanks for taking the time to read this issue i'm having. Tight lines and good fishing.

ok go too the SW corner of the lake and use a size #10 hook with dough balls and a sinker of 80 feet. then cast out to about 50 ft and you should get some smallmouth buffalo at peak times.

Fish in the deepest hole in the lake, that's where they are. Fish on the bottom with small hooks and the baits prescribed in the fish species list, you'll catch one for sure.

I had the most luck fishing in the middle of the lake , 135cm depth , semolina balls , #2 hook

You will catch them if you follow this setup:

Fish on a sunny day at exactly 11 am
Use hook #4, bait dough balls or semolina balls (preferred)
Set leader length to 51 inches (130 cm)
Cast out 75 feet (23 meters) to the large tree on the right (to the right of her marker in the video)
Be patient, they nibble for quite a while before taking the bait

Some of the newer baits also work well for them, like bread with honey for example.

Thanks for sharing this video! It's the only one that gave me enough information to finally catch it! 4 hours trying and 10 minutes after watching this I got it! Thanks

I had better luck with Dough Balls than Semolina. Semolina kept getting me Trophy Shiners.

With Semolina I wound up having to up my hook size a little (I think to a #1, it's been quite a while) to weed out the Shiners.
