Friends not showing up/Can't join

I added a steam friend in-game, and appearently I'm on their friendslist but for me it still says Request Sent, even after restarting the game. I can't join friends through steam and NOTHING shows up under the social tab. Why...?

Just an fyi when you finally get the issue worked out, you will need to start a friends only room as it's impossible to get into the new 5 person rooms with a friend. And you can't send them a message to let them know to join you unless you can get into the server that you won't be able to join. Plus if you try to join their room and it's full, which it will be, it will say it is connecting you to a random room which will actually just be a room all by yourself despite other rooms with players available. LOL Happy New Year So my last suggestion is to friend them on Steam too.

Unfriend and friend again, afterwards restart the game. That helps usually.
