Just leaving Missouri after a 3 day trip.
Costs: 2000 travel, 1500 (for 3 days), 400 for 1 day advanced license = 3,900 credits.
Gross catch with 22lb stringer for 3 days (full stringer mostly pickerel and largemouth) = 4,200 credits
So net profit with 3 days on 22lb stringer: 300 credits
Day 4 is where you would really start making money with that net/stringer size. I also leveled up twice and recieved additional credits for that not counted above.
For me with the numbers above and species caught in Missouri I'd say maybe an increase of payout on fish caught of 10-20% would balance it enough AND make the full store available on location so I am not having to leave when leveling to buy new gear (or simply go without as I did until leaving).
So you're basically saying that you have fished 12 Real time hours (if you fished the whole day) for a profit of 300 Bucks ?
Hahahahaha....thats just totally insane. Don't get me wrong there are days where I play a similar amount of time.
But what about the regular players ? Let's say someone plays 2 hours (realtime) a day. He's got to do that 6 real days to make a profit of 300 bucks ?
Oh c'mon there's more to do than just a lil balancing. Right now that's only something for the hardest of the hardcore-players.
Ok big lapse of thought on my side. The fishnet is full after a short time. So defo no 12 real time hours.
But my basic statement stays the same. But now i have to agree that some balancing will do the job.
Nope, I fished until my 22lb stringer was full and then fast forwared to the next day. Doesn't take that long to fill a 22lb stringer. Entire trip was less than 2 hours real time.
Which is why I stayed in Texas until level 8 which is why it does indeed need some work.
I knew there was a catch ;)
Even in old game version, I was always waiting to get the next level after getting acess to a lake... like lake at 5 got there at 6 or even 7...
you wantt o go early ? your responsability, your thinking behind it...
before the game did not need a big thinking on your side... now you may consider lvl up in texas 'till lvl 6 or more to get a bigger fishnet...
I do get it may be painful... but honnestly... the fishnets seems way better leveling along you right now as how it was previously...
Well at least it's how I play the game for now... and mostly how I played it before...
Some will need big habits changes, rules are changing, when rule changes not evreryone adapts, but still, doable even in current state... though yeah tweaking to get the game more accessible to lower levels may be needed.
I'm a bit biaised as I have time to play... I admit that
On the other hand if they reduce the travel/license costs for those beginner lakes it wouldn't "hurt" the higher level guys anymore to go there.
A typical conflict between reality (it is silly to get so much money for fish of that size) and game economic.
Now state home is gone it is harder to make profit
