If it helps at all to know, when entering a comp have the rod you wish to use in the comp already in your hand when you press enter (so you dontneed change to it after). If the rod is wrong or any of the tackle, a pop up box will tell you. However if you enter the comp with the right rod but decide to change rods after a short bit then it is possible to fish a comp with the wrong stuff and get 0 score with a wrong set up rod.
Think you will find that the term "spinning fishing tackle" refers to both spinning rod and reel and casting rod and reel, well it did in the last competition I entered.
try using cast gear in the nc minimal and see for ya self ;) good luck :D
My mistake then darrren, it was the Florida LM Bass competition I entered, never been in the NC minimal, sorry about that mate.
To clarify, let me explain exactly how to truly enter a competition and get credit. If you deviated from the following at all, that is why you did not get credit.
Step 1: Sign up for the competition.
Step 2: Wait for it to say the competition has begun.
Step 3: On the body of water for the competition go to the spawn map window.
Step 4: In the bottom right hand corner of the screen you will see a button with the words "Enter Competition" above the normal fishing button - you will need to click on that.
Step 5: These competitions are timed so your qualifying fish all need to be caught before the timer runs out.
Step 6: Once your time has ran out you can no longer catch anymore, but you will not get your true results until the actual 2 hour time frame ends because some anglers do not start right away but rather wait til the end of that 2 hour time frame to start fishing.
Step 7: The competition has ended and you can now see exactly how your results compared to your peers. Enjoy. ^^
If you followed those steps perfectly and still none of your fish gave you credit then there are other factors at work.
If you are float fishing then that is not a spinning rod.
