i ve tried with some spinning setups, and one of the best working was the yellow medium spoon 4/0 and 6/0, casting from 50 to 60 m (aiming to the right of your screenshot - where should be your tackle info), medium speed stop n go / lift n drop.. sometimes crankbaits works too (the not too deep ones from 3/0 to 5/0 - 1 to 2.5m) / slow reel and stop n go.
on peak times i didnt wait more that 3 mins for a bite. (see the ubersheet on the sticky notes for uniq times if you want)
i dont see your lvl or tackle in the screenshot, but keep in mind that bigger pikes can cut your line if your drag is too high.. once i was using a long caster for 8kg-setup and after 10 mins of fight, i lose the crankbait when the fish go over 100m.. so a friendly advice: try to use something like a set for +12kg if you can. (or dont cast more than 20 - 25m) normal pikes are in that range i think..
about the income / gameday.. with a 200kg net filled with pikes i make a bit more than 30k. if i go for a mix of species i get 20-25k. if i only do night fishing and catz (to end a gameday fast) i get 18-22k... and looking your screenshot your net is for 70kg, so for now i recommend going after normal size pikes or maybe walleyes.. im not good getting walleyes yet (im still testing setups for that), but im sure someone can help you with that info, wallys are good xp and cash too - and dont need a heavy setup ;)
good luck!
I used to love michigan, and would mostly fish for pike there, but just like your experience, i have been having a terrible time there recently. Prior to the last major update i could fill the 200kg net with no problems, but now its just ridiculously slow fishing.
Personally i wont go to michigan again unless i want to finish my catfish and/or walleye achievement.
They're not worth as much as pike, but it's only a suggestion.
Seriously - I cast for mine -

Good for you, but it doesn't exactly help the OP.
fish price from ubersheet:
catfish = 70cr./kg, full net =4.900 cr..
sturgeon = 100 cr./kg, full net =7.000 cr.
pike = 170 cr./kg, full net = 11.900 cr.
sm.bass = 160 cr./kg, full net = 11.200 cr.
wallys = 190 cr /kg, full net =13.300 cr.
maybe after the 2x exp weekend he have the lvl (and credits) to buy a bigger net.. **

about:
i use to aim in this zones for pikes and muskies, im testing some lures (less snags on the opposing side -screen 2).. yellow medium spoon and spinner (both 6/0) seems to work very nice by daytime -if anyone wants to try spinning setups. i will test the spot that @Marshall_maz said too.

@Tarquin_P: tnks for the info for wallys, works very good :)
have fun ;)
For pike and muskie the frog poppers 3/0 and the normal poppers 4/0 also work well. Played around with lures i dont use much to see if they work, managed to get them on the 10cm shads, newts and nymphes, all with the 6/0 jihgead. The 6/0 rainbow spinner also works.
Tried lighter setups too. The new ardix match rod is strong enough, i also got uni bluecats and normal sturgeon on it easily. The pike and muskie fight harder but they come in eventually with no major hassles. The ardix 390 i like to pair with the doublepunch 6500.
For spinning setup i got away with using the loki 270 and the doublepunch 6500 or 5500.
Casting setup its obviously the galaxycast and vortex.
The lure setups worked well before the rivertex stuff cameout and they still work now. Plus when the setup is too heavy you lose xp, these lighter setups help with that.
I quit the game because i thought there was something wrong with it.
Check my youtube videos if you think i don't know what i'm doing. :p
For the guy that doesn't want to hang around the reeds like a clown, you should definately watch my latest video, if you like to use poppers to fish that is. :D
