So whats the point of Night Fishing?

So i logged on, bought a couple new lures to try them out and then i decided to try nightfihing..

i´m so damn unimpressed so far. really whats the point of that? They add Lures and Rods that glow but.. Ingame Nighttime is not even dark at all unless i turn my screen of. I dont even need glowing lures because you just see everything like you re fishing in the evening hours. And even if you dont see stuff, you have your tension bars on the right that tell you if you have a bait or not.

Same as me bloody waste of time cant find any fish at night boring as hell, i thought i will get some night fishing lures and give it a go to try and get me hat with light on. Is it only the night time tackle thats works or will normal stuff work havent got a clue.

You don't need the night stuff to catch fish in the night. This is proof.

At night you are after fish like Gar and Catfish, and like any other fish they will be easier to catch at specific times, and with specific bait/lures; you just have to figure it out. Game presents some of you folks a challenge when you don't have someone else's guide to rely on telling you exactly where, when, and how.

When asked by the devs what features the players wanted most night fishing was one of them. I was one of those players as well. I love night fishing. Fishing for big cats!

Yep, and some fish that will almost never take anything but bait will hit topwater lures at night. Some of these new baits catch TONS of fish and big fish and unis at night. Also, people have been asking for bottom fishing -- if they ever add that it would go hand in hand with night fishing.
Personally I think the night light levels are excellent- very dark in the shade and brighter where the moon is hitting the water. I want to see the fish hit topwater lures- if it were too dark to see it'd be a huge bummer.

been able to catching nothing but walleye and trophy walleye with a normal medium spoon only at night time took me 1-2 hours in game time to fill a 55 pound net
