Leveling between 36 and 40
Hi all, I was wonder what would be the fastest way for me to get to lvl 40. I have a 440 lbs net and I have landed fish of over 70 lbs on my float gear and 20 lbs on my spinning gear. I have about $150 000 in the bank at the moment.

Any advice to level fast would be great.

Go to Michigan, farm the pikes, good money good xp.I'm assuming you have crankbait,Spinning rod so no cost for bait there. On a Sunny day top off your net with some trophy cats in fairytale (float-large cutbait}.{Assuming its a sunny day,6-9pm-peaktime}.GL.

So just farm pikes for the next 4 levels. Sounds easy enough. Thanks
Come with me & bring your A game and farm a 440LB bag of fresh fish, pay outs are from 45k to 55k, I am quoating that price payout because thats my lowest and highest pay out so far. Pike is fish of the day

Do you have premium account ? Because when I was farming Pike in Michigan few months ago my payout was around 20-23k so I'm wondering did the fish price changed ?

Total apoligies yes I have premium, I spent all this weekend farming Pike trying to better my payout as to see what is the maximum you could get, and just to correct myself biggest payout was 52.899 and thats including 2k for the next day so in total it was 54.899, and all those above me are correct PIKE is on the menu for quick cask, that will help you build some cash, my settings that I use are, 30inch trace , 6/0 hook , and I cast out no more than 35 feet and that is to the far right of the reeds from when you spawn in the game, anyway thats my settings and I hope you enjoy your fishing, as thay say on this forum, tight lines "always"
Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the replys.
I am currently farming pike as you all said. On average my payout is between $35k and $45k per day as I fill my 440lbs net in a day.
Money is not the problem for me as pike farming takes care of that.
What I would like to know is, is there a faster way to lvl up to 40 than just farming pikes all day long. Pikes takes care of the money, but is there a faster way to get to lvl 40 than pike farming?

I am lvl 38 now, do I stay and farm pike or do I move to Alaska?

Remember I am looking for xp not $$$.
The pike farming is indeed the best for total xp and credits. What you run into is the mechanic which lowers xp as you catch more of the same species. So, if you haven't caught any salmon, a trip to Kanik is worth considering. There are many which can be caught on spinning tackle, including crankbait, single spoons, bullet spinners... etc. The trip is expensive when you factor in the cost of the advanced license and the second day.
My advice is to make certain to have the heaviest rods you can afford and the strongest braid or flouro... minimum 20 pound test, 30 pound test is far and away the best for the chinook. I love the fight the pike in Michigan give you... the salmon can be better.
Tight lines.

From what I've saw, on the St.Croix-Lake, Northern pike offers the most $, while Muskie offers the best experience - from the species that I've could catch - speaking time wise.
If you bought one day of premium it would get you close,if not at lvl 40.but Whats your hurry?Theres nothing to do after lvl 40 right now.

Hum nope... that game mechanic has been removed since 0.7...
It was the case before until the end of 0.6. It's no more.

Now what could happen is fishing with a too heavy line, and then you get a reduction to XP (the little red arrows). that is lowering the XP quite a lot

Personally I like Alaska. Coho and Chinook give great xp and are easy to catch. Just join a room with gear that will reel in pretty much anything and stand where everyone else is standing and cast where everyone else is casting. 8 ft 6/0 lemon crank. I cast to the hot spot, reel on a 1 or 2 and set a hard drive on the space bar to reel(not kidding). 6-9pm cloudy 5-8 am and 6-9 pm sunny and I personally skip partly cloudy days.
