Well if you manage to hook up to a Uni or an extra large Trophy Muskie with a 20lb/9kg setup, it will still be a pain to bring in. I watched Mel_o_me try to bring one in, and it took him like nearly 5 in game hours to bring it in,
No, you could use med spoons, spinners as well. Pretty much anything that Pike family likes.
6x Brutus w. float and a #4 hook, .23 braid
120kg Net
like 5.000 Shiners
Brutus 360 Espira DoublePunch 5500 or better
Fluoro 0.45 Shiners/Large and Small Minnows
Depth: 30 cm
Hook: #7/0 or #8/0
Times: Sunny 5-9
Partly Cloudy 10-13
Cloudy 8-10
For Muskie I used the same set-up but changed leader depth to 100cm
Notes:
1. Buy shiners BEFORE you travel - none in local bait shop
2. Lighter gear yields better cash & XP
3. Can also use crankbaits but I lost too many in the weeds
4. Lightest float setup tried: Fatboy 8kg with 0.23 braid
do not say that they will change that also
Muskies and Pikes can be caught with practically anything, Jig+Shads,Worms/ Medium Spoons/ Casting Spoons/ 10+ different crankbaits/ Large Minnows/ Shiners/ Spinnerbait/ Spinners/ Bullet Spinners/ Single Spoons etc.
There are so many ways you can catch them, just because the majority of people use shiners and crankbaits, because it requires the least amount of user interaction, doesn't mean other methods don't work.
