Thoughts on Local Bait Shops / No supplies

Not enough bait at Local Bait Shops. My two baitcoins worth...

Dear Devs and Fishing Planeteers

Thoughts

• If I run a local fishing spot then I'm surely going to stock the bait shop/general store with the bait used for the fish at my locale. (Ahem... and lots of beer.)
  
  
• For example, the Michigan Lake fish species chart indicates that Northern Pike and Muskies like small minnows and shiners. Walleye like small minnows and corn. Brown trout like small minnows and dragonflies.
  
  
• I go to the local Michigan shop and I can buy shrimp, large cutbait and large minnows. Not one small minnow nor a single shiner. No corn and no dragonflies. This makes no sense from an angler's (or player's) point of view.
  
  
• Besides if I flew in on a national or regional airline I'm not sure TSA or the flight crew would allow me to board with a tackle box full of stinky fresh bait.
  
  
• I need to be able to stock up on the right bait for the target species on location. Yes?
  
  
• And if I'm a new lower-level player and first-time visitor to my newly unlocked-by-level location I might not have a clue. I need to be able to buy the most basic gear, tackle and bait at the local shop to hook and land the fish at that waterway.

Am I missing somethang?
Can the Devs please take a relook and mod the locally stocked supplies?

there is an eliment of logic to what you say, but on the other hand planning is everything befor you go, the shop is there more as a backup with rudimentary supplies.

and its not as if bait would be sitting on you lap or in an overhead locker as part of you carry-on luggage, but insted would be in the cargo hold on commercial flights.

It has always frustrated me that local bait shops don't actually have the bait that works for that particular lake. IRL your local bait shop will have most everything that you will need as well as helpful hints on where the fish may be biting.

+1 Irl the local baitshops is where you want to pick up lures/bait that works locally and they are usually good for some tips too :)

I generally agree with the OP so +1. However, you don't want to be blatantly obvious for people that are new to the game. Much of the wonder of this type of game is trying new things.

Mostly, I only think about this when I head to a lake not fully prepared. I did it today in the Everglades. I went there without shrimp. I mean, who does that?

So I look in the bait shop. Nope. Not sold here!
