What is classified as Spinning Tackle
I recently participated in the salmon clash were the rules state hunt for unique and trophy salmon using only spinning Tackle. My question is what is classed as spinning tackle, I used only lures from the spinning category, yet i have seen people fishing the comp in videos with jig heads, and spoons, which to me is outside the spinning category, thanks in advance for the clarifications..............GrandadAU

Not sure how this game classifies it, but usually 'spinning' refers to the reel, not the terminal tackle.

Correct. Spinning, casting, and float tackle always refers to their respective rods/reels not the category of lure/bait being used.

the competition info should be renamed so it indicates that

only items from the lures section category can be used ...

something like

"only items from the lures section can be used "

people can then choose to attach the lures to "casting setup" or "spinning setup" or both ;)

(basically you can't use bobber fishing method " float fishing method" to catch the fish in that comp)
