I need help, can't equip rod and reel

Found how to use a lure, but it won't equip it. What I mean is when I go to fish I don't have anything to fish with. My hands are empty.

There are different rods and reels. Typical beginner setup will be a telescopic float rod and a spinning lure rod.. You cannot equip a float on a lure rig and vice versa mostly. All rods and reels have designations for what they can equip. I have a feeling you are making an error somewhere along these lines. Next thing to look at is that did you travel to a lake before draging gear into backpack. This would produce the same problem. Your lures are at home but your at the lake. etc.. I hope this helps..

check your hotkeys, you might have it assigned on different keys, like rod for float is on your 1 and your pressing 2 or 3. just check your hotkeys
