If you have multiple accounts on one PC - it's not a good idea to do invite.

I am not 100% on this, but Im almost sure that the terms and rules were there before they did the update. It's yours, mine and everyone elses responsibility to keep track on what rules apply and not.

Yeah ok i get that but i dont understand why they look in to that i would just not allow it :)
KW says they are looking at if there are games installed its very easy to install games on a second account when its newly created ok but my op is i would not just allow it because you cant play together so why becoming friends then, very logical its getting misused this way

what the? Well, I got banned for adding 2 totally different people that are on my friends list. Your automatic system is banning people for even doing the right thing. All of the friends I added have their own games on those accounts. These friends have been on Steam for quite some time. So I am guessing we can't refer more then one friend to the game?

Also these people have totally different IP's and different computer, so they can no longer say the system bans for someone that is trying to create accounts and refer themselves. This automatic system needs adjusting. These are not fake accounts. As was stated above by "psykoteky", I'm afraid to refer anybody else now.

Well, I got unbanned, both my invites were to friends that play in different states. I don't use multiple accounts on my computer.. my son has his own computer, so there has to be a way if IP matches, but hardware ID doesn't match, let it happen but only happen once per hardware ID per IP. Multiple computers attached to same IP, you're going to have to let it happen once. You may have numerous college students that play all on the same network. It's all going to have to work off of hardware ID.

Seems like a terrible system. I have 4 members in our household and 2 separate Steam accounts. Depending what room we're in dictates which computer we log in at. Why on earth would you start a refferal system then greet many with a ban. Great PR.

Tomorrow we will issue the patch. Wich will make cheating almost impossible. And no more bans. But referral system will not work for the same PC. Ban will be applied only in cases than we see attempts to lure over our anti-cheat system.

Hey Killerwhale. thanks for the response...so quick question..I can only invite one person from my account?....both people that I invited are not even local to me. They both are on my steam friends list...so they both registered..but I only received the referral bonus for one. I did send in a support email for this issue also.

As a new player, who isn't a gamer, but a fisherman, I joined Steam because it was the only way to play this game, so I have nothing else on my account, and won't. As a software developer and data analyst, what I see here was almost a form of entrapment. My logic is 1) Nobody reads the EULA (I certainly didn't and have probably breached something in this very comment), it is there for devs to point at after the fact. 2) A big part of gaming is investigating, finding and using exploits (not cheats). 3) I've read back to the baitcoin conversion, and sorry, it was mismanaged. By all means convert the currency, but when that happens in the real world, you also convert the purchase prices (or the population revolts). What you did amounted to a 1000% overnight price rise. Given that and the lack of up front communication on what the dev would consider cheating, I'm surprised everyone hasn't been banned for trying to get back a few baitcoins they feel have been taken from them. You built a system that encouraged it be used in a particular way, then you ban people for doing it? Please don't warn or ban me for posting derogatory comments, or you'll be attacking our human rights to free speech too.

OT: When I think of the mostly hard earned 270 Baitcoins i have earned yet, it brings me to tears how loosly you throw them away just for an invitation of some friends. As i do not have much people around me, this makes me really sad! i mean you get 10 lousy BaitCoins for winning an Event which is utopically to most players and if you have fullfilled most achievements you are done and have no other way to get them except by buying them.
I do really NOT complaining about paying for a good game and I will further buy premium for the months i got time to play, but this also will not give me a single chance to get further Baitcoins.
Have a look at the top 100 Players list. how much baitcoins have they earned by winning an Event? Below the top 5 no one has earned 300 BC by winning all their events in total.
Additionally as a relativly new player i feel dispriviliged against the Alpha players which have thousands of BC in their account as they where able to farm gold and trade it for BC.
Needless to say something about the prices you put into the store for a License of ONE lake. And totally unballanced as well as if can buy 30 day pass for michigan for 43,99 EUROS when you can buy 2300 BC for 59.99 and buy nearly all licenses unlimited.. But Still 59,99 bugs is the price you pay regularily for playing a game unlimited. I would pay also a little more for this game, but i do not want to put one coin after another inside the box to play the music..
