RNG? I dont want to complain anymore since the game is good for me now. But today in Forida-Everglades. My start was good. Catching fish in less then 2 minits at a event. And they reboot the server and after I didnt catch anything . Last 20 minits. Like wtf. Dat RNG. Dont know why they can let people win that game(that already finished the competition).
This is my last complain because some people That answer like:
are enoying.
Keep up the good work dev
And @dukeof3arl I agree with you(still Rng(random number generator)) but its enoying.
I can deal with RNG from time to time. The thing is, I caught 8 fish in 45 real life minutes in a lake which I know very well.
Which leads me to believe that it's weighted. Some players will hit better than others - for no reason. Which would be disappointing if true. It could be that it just wasn't my night. However, today I went back to Alberta (same time and weather) and killed it.
It's just too weird not to point out.

In the Salmon Clash comp last night (2-7-17) I finished 45th. I just could not hook trophies no matter what I tried. I was catching common fish where they are normally trophies. I did end up with 1 uni and 3 trophy sockeye's, but that is less than half of what I normally catch.
I'm hoping some changes to the comps come along soon. I know KW has said they are working on it.
It was very frustrating and eventually I lost the desire to compete in them.
I haven't fished a tourney since the first one for similar reasons plus a monstrous lag time on strikes in the tourney.
So I have no idea what the criteria is for comps or tourneys?
I mostly fish now when I am just killing time. The enjoyment of the game has changed drastically for me, but trying to hang in there until they figure out where they are going.
Hit 28 minutes to go and all of a sudden the fish were on. Even caught the unique steelhead for the first time ever (which didnt count in the comp btw)
No idea whether RNG or some other effect, but I was certainly filling my bag right before the comp, and right after. Who knows?
If there is some sort of a lottery we're all going through, that's not right and probably not at all intended.
It just feels wrong, so it probably is wrong.
Be nice to be back properly soon as ive missed wetting a line :o)
If that's how it is, that shouldn't be the case at all should it? We should be able to fish like we normally do - but the biggest fish wins. What is the point of making it "harder" to catch fish in a competition? That doesn't make any sense to me at all.
So in essence, you are saying that comps are more geared toward "hot spots" and you can't just fish like normal you have to do special "comp retrieves" to do well? I know you play quite a few comps LDH but what you're saying doesn't make any sense from a gameplay standpoint.
That would only serve to frustrate players.
Caught 4 fish in total in the carp comp a few seconds ago. I dunno...absolutely clueless........ Normally a comp where I'm doing pretty well for my relations with a couple of top 3 and some more top 10 results.
i just did the same comp, caught around 10-15 fish and felt at least i was competing this time :) was poorly placed as you need a uni to win..sounds like you had what i had in your comp..mabey it is r n g but its horrible if it is, as you dont feel you are competing or have a chance.
