Lone Star Lake Catfishing

I've had this game for awhile and have had much success. But one thing I have wondered for awhile and more than likely no one will give the complete answer. What is the technique used for catching the unique catfish at Lone Star lake. A guy the other day caught a 44lb catfish but would give little insight into his secret and I could understand why as you don't want everyone to start catching it but since I am currently hunting for Unique's throughout the lakes I came to this for advice into catching this monster catfish.

I'd still like to hear what set ups are catching the catfish... I've only managed to catch a half dozen so far.

depends where your fishing
missuri has trophy channels
norht carilina has some trophy flathead cats
quanchkin lake has uni flats/uni channels/ trophy blues
michigan has uni blues

Than it must have been a glitch because I wouldn't of mentioned it if it didn't happen and I wouldn't of wasted my time on this discussion. Anyways He also managed to catch a Unique golden shiner. I think he may have exploited as you have all said there is not unique or 44lb catfish but it did happen. I was also wondering about Uniques at Falcon lake. The game seemed to hate me there. I caught 10 trophys out of 15 fish then I bought the advanced license and caught 2 trophys out of 45 fish using the same techniques. Is there a system in game that affects it?

theres not a unique golden shiner either lol :| as far as mechanics go every day is different so you may just have had a realy good day :Ddifferent weather conditions also effect catch rates :D

Yeah, but no kidding he was catching those fish and even said he does it often. Everyone else was just as shocked. Wish i had his name though maybe he was exploiting? Idk anyways I shall keep on trucking and attempt to catch those unique fish. Oh I may also add there is a spot on LoneStar to catch the Skeleton Bluegill. I'm assuming maybe there are uniques within the lake the Dev's are not telling us about that they snuck in there. Same as the Alligator Gar my friend lost 50k worth of gear too at Missouri. It was his mistake though as his game became corrupt as it was said on a forum post awhile back that catching certain "unique" fish can kill your game.

skeleton bluegill is a event fish there only about when the halloween event is running
