Everything else worked fine, The Brotherhood.

No technical sound problems, but to be honest I so wish the game provided volume sliders. The game has great sound design and all but the all the sci-fi sound effects are so shrill and loud compared to everything else, if it did provide sliders I'd probably dial down sfx volume to about 30%.

Do you use a very custom build of Visionaire for STASIS? Achievement did work in Pillars of the Earth, another recent title that uses it. It's unfortunate, but you're probably solely responsible for a lot of Linux improvements in Visionaire as it is, so I'm not going to complain and push you on that.

This will be off topic, but can you please tell me when there's going to be a Linux version of the game on GOG? I want to play it so badly, it's in my library, but I only have Windows and Mac versions available for download.

Hey Staog - I would love to do a GOG version. I need to get the Steam one perfect because GOG QA is very rigorous and they personally play the game and make sure it is to their standards. Apart from the Sound issue that some folks had I think it is almost ready.

Hey Nemo - Thanks. I am going to do something for the volume in Stasis. We did use a custom build because at the time the engine was able to manage the memory we needed for the graphics. This Linux build uses a newer engine core (the same as Daedelic are using) because vanilla 5.x doesn't work on Linux properly. It's the main reason we moved to Unity a few years ago so that we could have more control over the engine process. Let me hit up the Vis guys on Steam achievements under Linux. Thanks again!

Hey! I was about to test STASIS on Proton (for the linux compatibility website: https://spcr.netlify.com), and to my surprise, it is available on Linux already. I just checked the store, and it is not listed as such, so I thought that it may be a mishap. Nevertheless, thank you for porting it. Cheers

Thanks Luis! It does play perfectly and we did several full runs of the game without any problems or hitches. Some folks had a sound issue but others didn't. Keen to see if you have a good experience with it. Keep us posted! Chris

Nice! It is interesting because by default my Linux client believes that the game has native support, but it only downloads an empty folder. Now I am downloading the beta.
Would you mind if I include the beta password in the troubleshooting entry of the SPCR website? Thank you again

Yeah, of course, no problem.

The website you linked seems harmless enough, but the Steam link filter blocks it saying it's been flagged as potentially malicious. But if I post the link, and click on the link in my own post, I don't get the warning. Weird.

Yeah, I don't know why. Maybe it was because of the closing parenthesis? It is the website built to edit the spreadsheet the linux community is using to report the proton beta compatibility of non-officialy supported games. It is the official website of that "thing"
Here is the spreadsheet, hosted on gdocs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQ3_odz8JzEVK80vkku-b6FsICWb45xGf4VYnzYz5cNSMVQ-5BA2WoHBGAScw96MgLj1ONA7Cx0tyGa/pubhtml
well, now that I thinkg of it, maybe netlify hosted a malware website prior to this, and the domain is flagged entirely. I am not related with the website in any way: I am just a Linux enthusiast
cheers

Cool. I reported the game as Platinum (the best score possible), and gave instructions for getting into the beta. It is exciting to see games as cool as yours running natively on Linux. I am not particularly against Windows, but I ofc prefer having the choice. Thank you again

Hey, Brotherhood! How long now till this comes out of beta testing and made official without the need to enter beta to play this game? Is this getting to be closer?

Hey Skynet due to the limitations of the Vis engine we aren't currently satisfied that players will have no issues on Linux. Until they release a more stable Linux build we are going to keep it in Beta. We do have a long terms solution for this which is secret at the moment but Linux has not been forgotten.

I've communicated with several players just this last month and they are having good play throughs of the STASIS BETA LINUX build but then I also get a random bug issue that we then work through.
